For Mondays 5/2, 5/9, 5/16, 5/23/16 between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Socio-Rhetorical Preaching Webinar.

What is Socio-Rhetorical preaching? Socio-Rheorical preaching is the application of Scocio-Rhetorical interpretation of Scripture to preaching expository sermons. So what is Socio-Rhetorical interpretation? It is applying the insights of socio-cultural data about the cultural and historical contexts of the First-Century world to the hermeneutic process, along with analyzing the features of rhetorical discourses embedded in the texts themselves.

This approach yields many new dimensions and "textures" of the texts to better understand them from the perspective of the ancient author and original audience of the Scriptures. Interpreting the Scripture using these insights can assist the pastor in many different ways in sermon preparation. What ways are those? Take the course and find out!

To enroll for this course for credit or audit, call 812-853-0611 and speak with an adviser today. Even if this course is not a part of your degree requirements, you may be able to replace one of those courses for this one. I hope to see you there.
